I wish everyone who is Chinese, and everyone who is not–all of us–a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year.  But most of all, I wish us "Shalom."  "Shalom" is a Hebrew greeting that means "peace."  Shalom means "so long, I hope to see you soon again," or "Hello, I'm so glad you're here."  But most of all, it means peace.  I wish the whole world and all its children Shalom – peace in 2008.
